Engineering/Operations Intern 2026 (NFC)

About the role#

This is a full-time, paid Engineering/Operations Internship for Summer 2026. You will work on-site at the Neenah Foundry facility in Neenah, Wisconsin, contributing to manufacturing operations and project management.

What you'll do#

• Manage small to medium-sized projects of medium complexity, including those with less clearly defined scopes.
• Evaluate project needs, analyze options, and develop implementation plans, including the creation of Appropriation Requests (AR).
• Provide regular progress reports and manage projects through to completion within designated time frames.
• Develop operational procedures and provide training on new processes, tools, and equipment.
• Define and implement Preventative and Predictive Maintenance requirements.
• Conduct mechanical evaluations of processes and equipment.
• Support production operations by identifying and resolving obstacles.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a degree program for Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to manage and execute projects from initial planning through implementation.
• Capability to develop and document new technical procedures and training materials.
• Strong problem-solving skills to support ongoing production operations.
