Nursing Internship - Wynn Hospital - Per Diem

About the role#

This is a paid Nursing Internship at Wynn Hospital for the Summer 2026 term. This per diem position involves performing select procedures and treatments while assisting the nursing staff in maintaining patient care units.

What you'll do#

• Support patient care by carrying out duties as directed by a floor RN.
• Provide direct patient care, including bathing, oral and hair care, bed making, ambulation, positioning, and toileting.
• Take and record patient measurements, such as vital signs, weights, and intake and output.
• Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and preparing patients for exams and treatment procedures.
• Collect and label specimens, assist with patient transfers, and set up medical equipment like oxygen, suction, and telemetry electrodes.
• Monitor patient conditions and alert the supervising RN of any abnormal findings.
• Maintain unit cleanliness and replenish stock items.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an accredited Nursing Program.
• Completion of at least one semester of clinicals.
• Prior experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
