About the role#
The Clubs & Communities Assistant supports the Manager, Inclusion & Belonging in the planning and execution of student-focused initiatives. This role involves working with MSA staff and the broader Mohawk community to create experiences that support the student life cycle. You will act as a student leader, fostering connections with the student body to gather feedback and inform future programming.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and execution of student-focused initiatives, including events, activities, and workshops.
- Lead small-scale leadership development projects to drive program improvements.
- Coordinate logistics, manage event spaces, and oversee the use of equipment.
- Engage with students on campus to gain insights and feedback for future planning.
- Promote inclusive communities by supporting initiatives that celebrate diverse student identities.
- Collaborate with other MSA student staff to share information and brainstorm ideas.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mohawk College program.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Availability to work based on departmental business needs and your academic schedule.
Location & details#
- Location: Hamilton, Ontario.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Summer 2026 (4-month contract).
- Compensation: $21 per hour.
- Schedule: Part-time, 0 to 20 hours per week, including potential evenings and weekends. Independent or group travel between campuses may be required.
