About the role#
The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team Intern will function as part of the Behavioral Health Services department. This position offers clinical experience through direct involvement with community-based care operations. Interns must be available for a placement lasting two to three semesters.
What you'll do#
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to determine appropriate types of community-based care.
- Provide direct case management services to help consumers live successfully in the community.
- Offer crisis response services to individuals experiencing a psychiatric crisis.
- Partake in daily team meetings to maintain effective communication.
- Receive ongoing scheduled supervision from a licensed direct supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a master’s degree program in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a closely related field.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- A valid United States driver’s license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time within the community.
- Availability for 8 to 24 hours each week, Monday through Friday, between 8 AM and 4:30 PM.
