The Associate Director of Belonging and Student Engagement serves as a key strategic leader within the Center for Multicultural Engagement and Inclusion. This role provides vision, leadership, and operational oversight for campus-wide student engagement, belonging initiatives, and co-curricular programming. The position is responsible for fostering an inclusive campus community that supports student success, connection, and leadership development through intentional programming and collaborative partnerships.
What you'll do#
- Serve as a key strategic partner to the Executive Director of Student Life and Belonging to support departmental operations, policy development, and goal setting.
- Supervise professional staff, including the Assistant Director of Clubs and Student Leadership and the Coordinator of Belonging and Student Engagement, as well as a student employee team.
- Provide leadership and oversight related to compliance, process development, and budget tracking, including managing procurement processes and fiscal reporting.
- Act as the primary advisor for fraternity and sorority organizations, providing coaching, infrastructure design, and oversight for recruitment and chapter management.
- Assess, track, and analyze fraternity and sorority life (FSL) student leadership development, retention, and persistence to inform strategic planning.
- Lead the planning and implementation of campus-wide traditions, late-night programming, and student organization development.
- Oversee department marketing, communications, and outreach efforts to ensure consistent branding and messaging.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of three to five years of direct experience advising fraternity and sorority organizations in higher education.
- Experience supervising professional staff.
- Experience planning and implementing campus programs, events, traditions, or leadership initiatives.
- Experience managing budgets, including expense tracking, financial reporting, and fiscal oversight.
