Intern Youth Development

About the role#

The Youth Development Intern will join the Teen REACH team to support out-of-school programs designed to expand opportunities for youth and support their academic success. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.

What you'll do#

• Plan and lead activities during out-of-school time programs.
• Provide a safe, secure, and engaging environment for youth participants.
• Manage daily student attendance and sign-in/sign-out procedures.
• Distribute snacks and assist in maintaining supply inventories.
• Attend leadership meetings and provide progress updates to the program coordinator.
• Chaperone field trips and work collaboratively with program staff.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's program, specifically in Psychology, Sociology, Human Resources, Communications, or Public Health.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and some weekends.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with agency staff, parents, and community partners.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.
