The Youth Development Intern will join the Teen REACH team to support out-of-school programs designed to expand opportunities for youth and support their academic success. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Plan and lead activities during out-of-school time programs.
- Provide a safe, secure, and engaging environment for youth participants.
- Manage daily student attendance and sign-in/sign-out procedures.
- Distribute snacks and assist in maintaining supply inventories.
- Attend leadership meetings and provide progress updates to the program coordinator.
- Chaperone field trips and work collaboratively with program staff.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's program, specifically in Psychology, Sociology, Human Resources, Communications, or Public Health.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and some weekends.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with agency staff, parents, and community partners.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.
