MetOx International is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems and equipment. Based at our global headquarters, this role involves working with cross-functional engineering teams to contribute to active projects related to Balance of Plant (BoP) systems and advanced manufacturing. You will gain hands-on experience in mechanical design, equipment development, and data analysis while working under the direction of the Director of Mechanical Engineering.
What you'll do#
- Support the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies.
- Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using SolidWorks.
- Assist engineers in evaluating design concepts and implementing improvements for functionality and manufacturability.
- Perform basic engineering analysis and interpret simulation outputs, including FEA or CFD results.
- Prepare technical documentation, drawings, and reports for engineering reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate project requirements into design solutions.
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools to organize project data and track progress.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Sophomore standing or above.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software.
- Ability to read and interpret FEA/CFD results.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
