About the role#
The Production Intern works in a team-oriented environment to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing processes. This role involves rotating through different areas of the facility to learn about operational workflows, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a part-time position requiring 20 to 30 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through various areas of the facility to gain exposure to different manufacturing processes.
- Load and unload parts as part of daily production tasks.
- Clean and inspect parts to ensure they meet established quality standards.
- Meet or exceed production standards for assigned tasks.
- Contribute to initiatives focused on improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or Logistics.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality standards.
- A detail-oriented mindset with the ability to meet production standards.
- A collaborative work ethic.
