Student Nurse PCT - Heart and Vascular Unit

About the role#

Luminis Health is seeking a Student Nurse Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join the Heart and Vascular Unit. This role supports the clinical team by providing direct patient care, assisting with daily comfort measures, and maintaining unit operations in a collaborative environment.

What you'll do#

• Provide direct care to patients, with a focus on personal hygiene and comfort.
• Assist with patient admissions, including taking vital signs, measuring weight, and orienting patients to their rooms.
• Support patient discharges by gathering belongings and assisting with transport.
• Collect and record patient data, including intake, output, and specimens.
• Assist patients with mobilization and positioning as ordered.
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes or complaints to the assigned nurse.
• Transport medications to authorized personnel following security policies.
• Maintain adequate levels of supplies and equipment on the unit.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an accredited registered nursing program.
• Successful completion of at least one clinical semester.
• Current CNA certification through the Maryland Board of Nursing.
• American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS certification.
