About the role#
Lower is seeking a motivated PR & Content Intern to support communications, media relations, and brand storytelling efforts for the Fall 2026 semester. This role provides hands-on experience in researching media opportunities, supporting journalist outreach, and assisting with press campaigns to build brand awareness.
What you'll do#
- Identify and research media opportunities by monitoring reporter requests, industry trends, and news cycles.
- Support the development of press releases, company announcements, and executive communications by preparing materials and drafting content.
- Assist with data-driven content initiatives through background research, fact-checking, and report development.
- Research and maintain targeted media lists, including journalists, media outlets, podcasts, and newsletters.
- Track and report on PR performance metrics, including media coverage and campaign results.
- Maintain PR calendars, media databases, and coverage archives.
- Research award programs and speaking opportunities to increase executive visibility.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in communications, journalism, public health, marketing, or business administration.
- Strong writing, research, and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Curiosity regarding media, storytelling, and brand awareness strategies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative environment.
- An interest in the housing, real estate, finance, or technology industries is considered a plus.
Location & details#
- Term: Fall 2026 (expected early September through early/mid-December).
- Schedule: This is a part-time, paid internship requiring approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility provided for academic commitments.
- Work Modality: Remote within the United States (available in all 50 states and the District of Columbia).
