Transportation Load Planner - Co-op Student

About the role#

The Regional Transportation Planning Centre manages daily vendor purchase orders and store delivery orders to ensure efficient, cost-effective logistics. As a Transportation Load Planner co-op student, you will utilize the Transportation Management System (TMS) to plan trips that meet business needs while adhering to compliance and cost requirements.

What you'll do#

• Review unscheduled orders in the TMS prior to automated routing sessions.
• Maintain compliance and cost requirements for all planned loads.
• Manually adjust planned loads as necessary and provide feedback to the Regional Planning Center lead.
• Monitor loads planned by the TMS to ensure they meet cost-effectiveness and compliance standards.
• Utilize scorecards and reporting to ensure all metrics remain within established tolerances and targets.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Business Technology Management, or Supply Chain Management.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in a supply chain or retail organization.
• Strong system skills and a solid understanding of local and North American geography.
• Ability to coordinate with internal and external contacts.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
• Availability for shift work, including days, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
• Professionalism and creative problem-solving skills.

• Location: Brampton, Ontario.
• Term: Fall 2026 (September 8, 2026 – December 18, 2026).
• Modality: Hybrid (up to 1 day remote per week, 4 days in-office).
• Status: Paid, full-time co-op position.
