Pharmacy Student

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Student, you will support pharmacy operations by managing automation workflows, maintaining inventory, and preparing medication orders. This role involves working in a team environment to ensure accurate and timely processing of prescriptions for patients and nursing homes.

What you'll do#

• Generate automation reports using Kroll pharmacy management software.
• Package medications into unit dose pouches and prepare blister packs and mixtures.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory at pre-specified levels, place orders for supplies, and assist with inventory counts.
• Action drug recalls and secure alternatives when products are unavailable.
• Label medication and over-the-counter products.
• Manage and troubleshoot automation machinery to meet workflow schedules.
• Investigate and resolve issues to ensure timely shipment of orders.

What you'll need#

• Post-secondary education in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Health Administration, or Biomedical Sciences.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Ability to problem-solve and make independent decisions.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maneuver quickly for extended periods.
• Experience with Healthwatch software is preferred.
• Previous pharmacy experience with Long Term Care is considered an asset.

• Location: Sherwood Park, Alberta.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Employment Type: Full-time.
• Compensation: $20.90 - $28.60 per hour.
