IT Internship

About the role#

Libbey is seeking a part-time IT Intern for the Fall 2026 semester. This role serves as a primary contact for Libbey locations, addressing user questions, technical issues, and service requests related to IT infrastructure and software systems. This is an on-site position based in Toledo, Ohio, requiring up to 20 hours per week.

What you'll do#

• Manage help desk calls and provide first-level support for incident resolution.
• Monitor all open incidents and requests from initiation through to resolution, providing status updates to users.
• Populate the knowledge base with new solutions and diagnostic procedures to improve resolution capabilities.
• Provide hands-on hardware support, including the installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop computers, laptops, monitors, and printers.
• Install and configure standard software images, Microsoft applications, and other personal computer software.
• Collaborate with internal IT personnel to resolve issues and complete assigned special projects.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a collegiate degree program, with a preferred focus in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Business Administration.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• General knowledge of Microsoft Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various levels of the organization.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Commitment to regular attendance and active listening to meet internal customer expectations.
