Digital Marketing Intern

About the role#

Leon's Furniture is seeking a Digital Marketing Intern for a 4-6 month contract based at our North York headquarters. This position is ideal for an aspiring marketer interested in the intersection of e-commerce, search, and AI innovation. You will work on-site, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

What you'll do#

• Optimize on-page web elements, text structures, and product descriptions to improve visibility in AI-driven conversational search platforms.
• Leverage AI models to perform page-level audits, identify technical gaps, and generate meta-data.
• Manage local store listings to drive physical store traffic from conversational searches.
• Execute, schedule, and monitor email marketing campaigns aligned with the retail promotional calendar.
• Configure and support A/B test frameworks for email subject lines, layouts, and send times to improve engagement metrics.
• Monitor, analyze, and compile insights on web traffic patterns and channel revenue using GA4, Google Search Console, and Shopify.
• Collaborate with internal marketing and e-commerce stakeholders to maintain brand standards across the customer journey.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Degree or Diploma in Marketing, E-commerce, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
• Understanding of digital marketing principles with a specific interest in how LLMs process web infrastructure and semantic intent.
• Exposure to Google Marketing Platforms (GA4, Search Console, Merchant Center) and Shopify.
• Proficiency with conversational AI interfaces like Claude or ChatGPT to assist with content workflows and site audits.
• Foundational familiarity with HTML/CSS.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage overlapping project timelines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, including the ability to structure datasets and use VLOOKUPs.

• Compensation: $20/hr.
• Employment Type: Full-time, 4-6 month contract.
