About the role#
The American Connection Corps (ACC) is a service fellowship program focused on building digital connectivity to expand economic mobility and healthcare access. As an ACC Management Fellow with the City of Santa Paula, you will support local initiatives that strengthen community engagement, digital inclusion, and strategic planning. This is a full-time, on-site AmeriCorps service position running from September 8, 2026, to August 13, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Conduct community outreach and support resident surveys to inform local planning.
- Collaborate with the Ventura County Broadband Consortium to expand broadband access and digital resources.
- Develop digital content, press releases, newsletters, and other outreach materials.
- Support cross-departmental initiatives related to the City Council’s Two-Year Strategic Plan.
- Participate in a community listening tour to identify local needs and assets.
- Engage in professional development through twice-monthly virtual trainings and a national Winter Institute.
What you'll need#
- U.S. Citizen, National, or Lawful Permanent Resident status.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum age of 17 by the start of service.
- Have not served four or more AmeriCorps State/National terms.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Interest in community development, public administration, or digital inclusion.
- Preferred academic backgrounds include Public Health, Communications, Sociology, Political Science, Business Administration, Economics, Graphic Design, or Urban Planning.

- Compensation: This is a paid position featuring a $33,000 living stipend, a $7,395 Segal Education Award, healthcare coverage, childcare benefits, and student loan forbearance.
