Software Development Co-op (React + Node/NestJS + Agentic Development)

About the role#

We are looking for a Software Development Co-op to join our engineering team. You will build modern web applications, experiment with agentic development patterns, and work with real-world creator-economy data. This role is designed for students who have built meaningful projects, enjoy learning new technologies, and want hands-on experience with production-grade systems.

What you'll do#

• Build responsive, component-driven React front-end features.
• Develop and maintain backend endpoints using Node.js and NestJS.
• Integrate with first- and third-party APIs to fetch, normalize, and aggregate data.
• Implement state management and data-fetching patterns using ReactQuery or TanStack Query.
• Design workflows that use agentic development practices to call models or tools autonomously.
• Work with ML-powered inference to classify data.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and iterative product development.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or Mathematics.
• Coursework or project experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience building React applications through class projects, personal projects, or hackathons.
• Familiarity with Node.js; experience with NestJS is an asset.
• Experience using ReactQuery, TanStack Query, or similar data-fetching and state management tools.
• Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and asynchronous programming.
• Curiosity about agentic development, LLM-powered workflows, and applying models for classification or inference tasks.

• Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
• Work Modality: Hybrid.
• Compensation: $4,000 per month.
• Status: Full-time, paid co-op position.
