The Systems Engineering intern will work with senior engineers to analyze, test, and improve the performance of high-speed, high-accuracy semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This role focuses on understanding complex physical systems by connecting analytical thinking with experimental data and iterative learning. It is suited for students who enjoy solving engineering problems that span multiple disciplines and involve both analysis and hands-on interaction with hardware.
What you'll do#
- Analyze and explore system and subsystem level behavior in high-precision equipment.
- Support the setup, execution, and analysis of experimental tests to validate system behavior.
- Execute test plans, collect measurement data, and perform basic data analysis and validation.
- Identify and communicate system constraints, uncertainties, and performance tradeoffs.
- Conduct trade studies and support system optimization efforts.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers.
- Document assumptions, methods, results, and findings.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing or completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Physics.
- Ability to connect analytical thinking with experimental data.
- Interest in solving challenging engineering problems.
