As a Sales Development Representative Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in a professional sales environment while learning the strategies and techniques used to drive business growth. This program provides exposure to real sales operations, including account prospecting, CRM management, and lead qualification. You will work alongside current Sales Development Representatives and interact with Account Executives to understand the sales lifecycle within the cybersecurity industry.
What you'll do#
- Map company structures and verify information to identify and qualify potential accounts.
- Conduct outreach via calls and emails to secure demo bookings for the sales team.
- Organize, clean, and maintain data within the CRM database.
- Learn essential prospecting and conversation skills, including objection handling and lead hand-off techniques.
- Shadow sales calls and listen to recorded demos from Account Executives to refine your sales approach.
- Participate in professional development workshops, training sessions, and team-building activities.
What you'll need#
- Current Junior or Senior status pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications.
- Strong communication skills paired with high levels of empathy.
- A confident, positive, and resilient mindset.
- Demonstrated competitiveness, tenacity, and a collaborative team-player attitude.
- Basic computer proficiency.
Location & details#
- Location: Arlington, Virginia.
- Modality: Hybrid (requires working in the office Monday through Thursday).
- Term: Fall 2026 (August 24, 2026 – November 13, 2026).
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
- Note: Relocation and lodging are the responsibility of the intern.
