Gold Rush Winter Intern - Financial Reporting and Consolidations

About the role#

The Gold Rush Corporate Internship Program offers students the opportunity to gain professional experience within the mining industry at the Kinross corporate office in Toronto. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting and Advisory, the intern will support the financial reporting and consolidation functions through the 2026 year-end and 2027 first quarter reporting cycles.

What you'll do#

• Assist with the 2026 year-end and 2027 first quarter external financial reporting processes.
• Prepare supporting schedules and perform financial report tie-outs.
• Coordinate deliverables with external auditors.
• Analyze contracts and financial information.
• Prepare monthly working capital analyses.
• Contribute to corporate financial reporting documents, including the Annual Information Form, Management Information Circular, ESTMA reports, and the Sustainability report.
• Complete ad-hoc requests and financial analyses as required.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in the 2nd or 3rd year of a Business, Accounting, or Finance program.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
• Self-motivated with a high attention to detail.
• A desire to pursue a CPA designation and proficiency in Spanish, French, or Portuguese are considered assets.
