Mechanical Engineering Fall CO Intern

About the role#

This is a full-time, paid internship position for the Fall 2026 semester. You will work within the compressor engineering department, focusing on large centrifugal compressors for York brand water-cooled chillers. You will report to the engineering manager and collaborate with aero engineers, technicians, and the test lab team.

What you'll do#

• Follow compressor testing procedures, organize and analyze test data, and create reports.
• Create and execute test plans while providing guidance to test operators.
• Assist in various assigned engineering projects.
• Edit and maintain work guidelines and instructions for future interns.
• Present a summary of your activities and key learnings to the compressor engineering department at the end of the term.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment at an accredited U.S. college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Mechanical Engineering and thermodynamics.
• Familiarity with machine design.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude is desirable.
• Legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

• Location: New Freedom, PA.
• Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
• Term: Fall 2026 (September–December).
