This is a full-time, paid internship position for the Fall 2026 semester. You will work within the compressor engineering department, focusing on large centrifugal compressors for York brand water-cooled chillers. You will report to the engineering manager and collaborate with aero engineers, technicians, and the test lab team.
What you'll do#
- Follow compressor testing procedures, organize and analyze test data, and create reports.
- Create and execute test plans while providing guidance to test operators.
- Assist in various assigned engineering projects.
- Edit and maintain work guidelines and instructions for future interns.
- Present a summary of your activities and key learnings to the compressor engineering department at the end of the term.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at an accredited U.S. college or university.
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Mechanical Engineering and thermodynamics.
- Familiarity with machine design.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude is desirable.
- Legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

- Location: New Freedom, PA.
- Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
- Term: Fall 2026 (September–December).
