Intern - Program Manager, Network Engineering

About the role#

Itron is seeking a Program Manager Intern to support technical initiatives within the Utilities and Energy sector. This role focuses on network engineering projects related to connectivity, infrastructure, and technical service delivery. You will work across cross-functional teams to maintain project organization and gain practical experience in program and project management practices.

What you'll do#

• Support the coordination and execution of multiple network engineering-related projects.
• Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure alignment with program goals.
• Partner with stakeholders to gather updates, remove blockers, and maintain project status visibility.
• Prepare clear reports, summaries, and status updates to support decision-making.
• Build and maintain dashboards and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Organize project documentation, workflows, and reporting tools.
• Identify gaps or opportunities in project management processes and propose improvements.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive approach with a willingness to learn and adapt.
• Interest in program or project management within a technical or technology-focused organization.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across diverse teams.
