Environmental Health & Safety Co-op

About the role#

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Co-op will support the Welland team and the North America EHS department. This role focuses on optimizing EHS programs, managing data, and contributing to continuous improvement projects, including the integration of policies between the Welland and Waukesha sites.

What you'll do#

• Perform EHS site inspections and audits.
• Assist with EHS data collection and continuous improvement projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve EHS concerns.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date EHS files and documentation.
• Conduct periodic audits of records to ensure all required documentation is properly collected and filed.
• Provide clerical support to the EHS department.

What you'll need#

• Currently in the process of completing a program in Environmental Health and Safety.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and 14001 is considered an asset.
• Experience working in a manufacturing setting is considered an asset.
