Intern - Sustainability

About the role#

Imerys is seeking a Sustainability Intern to support the product sustainability program. This role focuses on conducting "Cradle-to-Gate" Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) to map the environmental footprint of mineral-based solutions. This is a part-time internship opportunity for a graduate student to gain hands-on experience in industrial sustainability.

What you'll do#

• Design LCA questionnaires and collaborate with site managers to gather high-fidelity, site-specific data.
• Build and manage product flows using Holis software, calculate environmental impacts, and integrate results into Group-wide systems.
• Develop LCA cards and Ecoprofiles for diverse product families.
• Organize and support market alignment workshops to identify sustainable solutions for products-in-application.
• Create internal educational materials to communicate the business value and environmental necessity of LCAs to stakeholders.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as an Environmental Science graduate student.
• Academic background in Environmental Engineering or Biology.
• Experience with Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs).
• Knowledge of data architecture and modeling.
• Ability to conduct environmental impact assessments.
• Strong communication skills for workshop facilitation.
