Engineer/Scientist Intern

About the role#

Ignite Digital Services is seeking an Engineer/Scientist Intern to support US Navy software maintenance efforts. This role provides an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on research, development, modeling, and systems support tasks that contribute to Navy and joint operational capabilities.

What you'll do#

• Support engineering and scientific tasks related to project requirements.
• Assist with development, modeling, analysis, and testing activities.
• Conduct research, gather technical data, and help prepare project documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project objectives.
• Learn and apply engineering or technical methodologies under the guidance of senior staff.

What you'll need#

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physics, Network Security, Information Systems, or Computer Science; or be a student having completed at least 90 credit hours toward a BS degree in these fields.
• A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET Security Clearance.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
