About the role#
Heritage Academy Schools is seeking a Summer Student Worker to support the Facilities Department. This full-time, paid position involves physical labor to assist with the upkeep and preparation of school buildings during the summer term.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine upkeep and maintenance of furnishings, fixtures, and equipment.
- Carry out janitorial duties as needed.
- Assist with general building maintenance, including painting and moving furniture.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the department.
What you'll need#
- Must be an active scholar in good standing at a Heritage Academy School.
- Ability to perform active work, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day.
- Ability to frequently lift or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
- Comfort working with maintenance equipment in an environment that may involve exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, and loud noise levels.
