Harbinger is seeking an engineering student to join the Powertrain Manufacturing team for the Fall 2026 term. This full-time internship focuses on the manufacturing of the Electric Drive Unit system, including the rotor and stator. You will gain hands-on experience in a production environment, supporting the development of manufacturing standards and process improvements.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design and development of manufacturing standards, processes, equipment, and tooling for the complete Powertrain system.
- Develop and document work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues.
- Support the design, testing, and validation of new tools and equipment.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Computer Engineering.
- Work authorization in the United States or the ability to obtain a J-1 or F-1 visa.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Location & details#
- Location: Garden Grove, California.
- Work Modality: On-site (4 days per week).
- Term: Fall 2026 (11-14 weeks).
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: $25-35 USD per hour.
- Relocation: A $1,000 stipend is available for interns residing more than 50 miles from the facility.
