About the role#
The Manufacturing Facility Engineering internship offers an opportunity to work within a global team of multidisciplinary professionals. You will gain exposure to pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, systems, and facilities while contributing to real-world projects. This is a full-time, paid position for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to gain in-depth knowledge of GSK systems, including facility investment planning and design engineering standards.
- Support the development of specifications, standards, and improvement proposals to upgrade and expand facilities.
- Conduct research and data analysis to support project decision-making and performance improvement.
- Explore digitalization opportunities using tools like MS Power Platform or BI dashboards to optimize process data.
- Prepare GMP documentation, such as log sheets and risk assessment reports, for the batch manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations regarding project status and performance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or Chemical/Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at a Singapore-based university.
- Ability to participate in a full-time, credit-bearing internship for the duration of the term.
- Written and spoken fluency in English.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
