Manufacturing Operations Intern, Fractionation

About the role#

This internship provides hands-on experience within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role focuses on supporting commissioning and validation activities alongside routine production operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Engineering, and Production, to ensure manufacturing processes meet regulatory standards.

What you'll do#

• Assist Validation Specialists with the commissioning and qualification of manufacturing equipment and cleanroom facilities.
• Participate in routine GMP manufacturing operations, including the cleaning and sanitization of production areas and equipment.
• Prepare materials and equipment required for production cycles.
• Contribute to the drafting and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing and cleaning processes.
• Maintain accurate, detailed records and logs in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and demonstrate proper aseptic techniques.
• Communicate effectively with team members and escalate issues to management as needed.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• A minimum GPA of 3.00.
• Strong interest in pharmaceutical manufacturing and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and follow strict operational procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Microsoft Project and Visio is an asset.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and lift or push up to 25 pounds.
• Bilingualism in French and English is preferred; English proficiency is required for international communication and documentation.

• Duration: Full-time internship for a minimum of 8 months, from September 2026 through May 2027.
