About the role#
The Marketing Intern supports the brand, services, and outreach efforts of Gridtech Substation & Drilling. This paid, full-time summer internship provides hands-on experience in social media management, branding, graphic design, and marketing campaign execution. You will work alongside the Marketing Manager and internal departments to increase brand awareness and support business development within the energy sector.
What you'll do#
- Plan, create, and schedule content for social media platforms.
- Assist with the selection, ordering, and branding of promotional merchandise.
- Contribute to graphic design, photography, and videography projects.
- Develop marketing materials including brochures, presentations, banners, and proposals.
- Participate in the planning and execution of trade shows, conferences, and community events.
- Monitor marketing campaign performance and maintain CRM systems and mailing lists.
- Coordinate with vendors and manage marketing-related purchase orders.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic knowledge of Canva or similar design tools.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Preferred: Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree program in Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications.

- Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Travel: Local and regional travel is required, with occasional overnight trips.
