Software Development Intern

About the role#

GIRO is seeking a Software Development Intern for the Fall 2026 term. You will work within a development team alongside experts in the public transportation and postal services industries. This internship provides hands-on experience in an agile environment, focusing on the design and maintenance of large-scale software products.

What you'll do#

• Contribute to the design and development of large-scale software products, including architecture, analysis, and programming.
• Develop new features for applications.
• Implement and test software functionalities.
• Manage and resolve bugs (OBSs).
• Provide technical support to development and project teams.
• Write technical analysis documentation.

What you'll need#

• Currently completing the final year of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong interest in and solid knowledge of object-oriented programming, specifically C++.
• Proficiency with Windows environments and relational databases.
• Effective communication skills in French, both spoken and written.
• Knowledge of C# and the .NET framework is considered an asset.
