About the role#
This is a for-credit, on-site internship for the Fall 2026 term. Based in Hamilton Township, New Jersey, the intern will support the Director of Business Development with projects involving product development, design, and management within the hospitality and retail sectors. This role requires a professional presence and the ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the conceptualization, branding, manufacturing, and merchandising of new retail products for a French bakery.
- Research market and competitor pricing to provide insights for marketing and pricing strategies.
- Track product inventory and work with the Business Development team to analyze sales and inventory reports for improvement opportunities.
- Create and update training manuals for bakery employees regarding product details.
- Coordinate with the Marketing department on branding, advertising, and retail layout planning to enhance the customer shopping experience.
- Participate in meetings with international vendors.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college, pursuing a major in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field that qualifies for academic credit.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities with high attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain a professional image and handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Chinese language skills are considered an asset but are not required.
