For-Credit Research Associate Intern

About the role#

Genesis Global Group is seeking a For-Credit Research Associate Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This internship focuses on hit-to-lead or lead optimization projects against novel drug targets. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to perform organic synthesis and contribute to the library synthesis of compounds for the research collection.

What you'll do#

• Perform organic synthesis for research projects.
• Assist with the library synthesis of compounds for the research compound collection.
• Collaborate on projects with partner companies.
• Report directly to the Department Director or assigned supervisors.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Perform other related duties as required.

What you'll need#

• Must be a current student at an accredited college pursuing a major in Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Environmental Engineering.
• Must be seeking an internship that qualifies for academic credit.
• Hands-on experience in multi-step organic synthesis, purification, and structural characterization.
• Familiarity with modern chromatographic techniques, including flash chromatography, preparative scale HPLC, and LCMS.
• Experience in parallel synthesis or solid phase chemistry.
