FVI School of Nursing and Technology is seeking a dependable and proactive IT Student Support professional to join the team at the Miami campus. This part-time, on-site role focuses on maintaining daily office IT infrastructure and providing technical assistance to employees to ensure systems operate efficiently.
What you'll do#
- Provide on-site technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and office equipment.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, operating systems, and business applications.
- Set up workstations for new employees, including hardware, peripherals, email accounts, and software.
- Troubleshoot wired and wireless network connectivity issues.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications, shared drives, and collaboration tools.
- Manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
- Perform routine maintenance, software updates, antivirus monitoring, and system health checks.
- Maintain and organize IT inventory and software licenses.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers as needed.
- Assist with data backup, recovery procedures, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Document all support requests, technical issues, and resolutions.
- Ensure equipment in meeting rooms and conference areas is functioning properly.
What you'll need#
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Spanish language proficiency is required.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, computer hardware, and office productivity applications.
- Basic understanding of networking, including TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, routers, and switches.
- Experience with user account administration and basic cybersecurity practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in IT support, desktop support, or help desk services is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Miami, Florida.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time, 20–30 hours per week with a flexible schedule based on business needs. Occasional support outside regular office hours may be required for maintenance or emergencies.
- Potential for full-time conversion based on organizational needs, workload, and performance.
