About the role#
The Quality Assurance Engineer Co-op is a 4-month contract position focused on validating workflows, business processes, product rules, and administrative systems. You will work alongside experienced Quality Engineers to ensure that system modifications function correctly without impacting the existing business environment. This role involves researching and applying new technologies while contributing to the design and maintenance of the Test Automation Framework.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts.
- Conduct peer reviews of automation scripts and provide corrective feedback.
- Identify, track, and manage system errors.
- Report on automation development status and findings to project teams.
- Optimize test scripts to reduce technical debt and improve performance.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify test cases suitable for automation.
- Work with the DevOps team to integrate test scripts into CI/CD pipelines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's program in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools, specifically Selenium with Java/JavaScript or Playwright with TypeScript.
- Working knowledge of Web, API, and Mobile automation testing.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Familiarity with software version control systems like GitHub and integrated development environments such as Eclipse.
- Understanding of Linux, Windows, and containerization tools like Docker.
- Experience working within both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills with a focus on detail.
