About the role#
This paid internship provides hands-on experience within the Credit Administration department at Fidelity Bank. Over a 16-week period, interns work up to 40 hours per week while receiving mentorship from banking professionals. The program offers insight into the underwriting and approval process for business loans and provides exposure to various departments and career paths within the banking industry.
What you'll do#
- Analyze company balance sheets and income statements to determine repayment risk for loans.
- Identify economic factors and risks that influence lending decisions.
- Observe Corporate Loan Committee meetings where the bank evaluates large business loan applications.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Academic or practical experience in accounting, finance, business administration, or economics.
