About the role#
The Freshforce Student, Truck Driving Program is a 10-week training initiative designed to provide industry-recognized certifications and hands-on job training. Students gain technical and professional skills to prepare for careers in truck driving and related fields, specifically focusing on obtaining a Class B Commercial Driver License. The program takes place in classrooms, warehouses, and outdoor training spaces.
What you'll do#
- Learn about occupational hazards and practice safety while working in a warehouse or distribution facility.
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely.
- Prepare and certify for a CDL B license.
- Gain foundational knowledge of supply-chain logistics, material handling, quality control, and inventory.
- Learn and practice employability skills, including effective workplace communication, professionalism, resume-writing, and interviewing.
- Understand and apply methods of task-management and time-management.
- Apply basic principles relating to customer service.
What you'll need#
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorization to work in the US.
- Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
- Willingness to complete a drug screening and background check.
- Access to reliable transportation for the duration of the program.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. is preferred.

- Location: Tampa, Florida.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 13, 2026, to November 23, 2026).
- Schedule: Monday, 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM; Tuesday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
- Compensation: This is a paid program providing a stipend of $15.00 per hour.
