Hospitality Intern - Business Operations

About the role#

This internship supports the Schumacher Hospitality brand in New York City. The role focuses on sampling, sales and marketing initiatives, and order processing to help grow the company's position within the hospitality and contract sectors. This is a paid, on-site position for Summer 2026, offering a flexible schedule of 20-30 hours per week.

What you'll do#

• Partner with Design Consultant and Project Manager teams to support client needs.
• Process memo orders and project shops for the Hospitality team.
• Cut and label custom Hospitality fabrics and wallcoverings for designer approval.
• Collaborate with the Project Management team to execute key initiatives and department growth tasks.
• Assist with general operations and logistical tasks.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university or hold a bachelor's degree with a competitive GPA.
• Interest in interior design, textiles, wallcoverings, and hospitality markets.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
• Preferred majors include Business Administration, Marketing, Art, Graphic Design, or Architecture.
