Civil Engineering Student (Co-op)

About the role#

EXP is seeking a Civil Engineering Co-op Student for our Brampton office. This role is designed for students currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology program who want to apply their academic knowledge to real-world consulting projects. You will support project teams through a mix of office-based design work and field-based tasks, gaining exposure to civil infrastructure and land development.

What you'll do#

• Support civil infrastructure and land development projects.
• Prepare technical drawings and design files using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Assist with the preparation of technical reports, field notes, and project documentation.
• Perform fieldwork, including site visits, inspections, surveys, and data collection.
• Assist with quantity take-offs, calculations, and data analysis.
• Collaborate with engineers, technologists, and project managers on project-related tasks.
• Follow safety procedures in both office and field environments.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology co-op program.
• Completed coursework related to municipal infrastructure, such as watermains, sewers, or treatment plants.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage tasks independently under guidance.
• A valid driver's license is considered an asset.

• Location: Brampton, Ontario.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Employment Type: Full-time.
• Compensation: $21 - $24 per hour, based on experience and skills.
• Term: Rolling.
