About the role#
Evergreen Strategy Group is seeking interns for the Fall 2026 term to support client work in public policy and communications. This role focuses on helping purpose-driven companies, nonprofits, and public figures advance initiatives related to climate change, voting rights, and gun violence prevention. Interns will work in a remote environment and receive mentorship and professional development opportunities throughout the term.
What you'll do#
- Collect and synthesize background material on legislation, policy developments, and current events.
- Contribute research to inform messaging, speechwriting, and policy memos.
- Assemble press relations materials including pitch notes, press lists, and media trackers.
- Draft briefs, one-pagers, and memos.
- Support the outlining and drafting of op-eds and speeches on substantive political issues.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior, Senior, or Master’s student, or within six months of graduation.
- Academic background in Political Science, Communications, Public Health, Business Administration, Psychology, Economics, or History.
- At least two previous, relevant internship or volunteer experiences in public policy, progressive electoral politics, social justice, or corporate purpose.
- Excellent writing and research skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment.
- U.S. work authorization.
Location & details#
- This is a fully remote position.
- The internship runs approximately from August 31, 2026, to December 18, 2026.
- Compensation is $20 per hour.
- A commitment of 15 to 20 hours per week is expected, within standard working hours on a continental U.S. time zone.
