About the role#
The Environmental League of Massachusetts (ELM) and the ELM Action Fund are seeking a Videographer Fellow to support advocacy and communications efforts. This role focuses on building a library of digital assets, including educational content, campaign materials, and event coverage. The fellow will report to the Digital Media Manager and work closely with the Communications Team.
What you'll do#
- Build and expand the organization's video and photography library.
- Produce short-form video content for social media and digital channels.
- Lead the production of testimonials and interviews with staff, donors, politicians, and partner organizations.
- Collaborate on scripts, storyboards, and shot lists for upcoming projects.
- Capture video and photos at events in the Greater Boston area, typically 2-3 times per month.
- Edit event footage and photos for use on websites and in digital communications.
- Collect b-roll footage related to clean energy, public transit, and political campaigning.
What you'll need#
- Experience with all stages of video production, including filming, editing, and directing.
- Ability to produce concise, engaging videos for digital audiences.
- Strong initiative throughout the production process and the ability to create compelling visual stories.
- Interest in political, environmental, or advocacy-based filmmaking.
- Access to personal or school-provided hardware and editing software, as the organization cannot provide equipment.
- Majors in Communications, Media Studies, Environmental Engineering, Graphic Design, or Political Science are relevant to this role.
Location & details#
- Location: Hybrid, with remote work possible but in-person event coverage required in the Greater Boston area.
- Term: Fall 2026 (late August through early December).
- Hours: 3-5 hours per week.
- Compensation: $18 per hour.
- Preference: Candidates with a valid driver's license and access to a car are preferred.
