About the role#
EMCOR Services Automated Controls is seeking a Building Automation Engineer Co-op for the Fall 2026 term. Based in Columbus, Ohio, this role supports the automation software and design team on projects within commercial and industrial markets. This is a full-time, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Attend project turnover meetings with the sales and project team.
- Write Eikon logic files for direct digital control systems and third-party integration.
- Create SiteBuilder databases for projects.
- Provide programming support to field technicians and specialists.
- Coordinate third-party integration with field technicians.
- Provide programs and databases to the graphics team.
- Maintain backups of DDC systems on Procore.
- Follow department programming and database standards.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of an associate degree in a related engineering or technology field, with preference for Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Alternatively, a combination of verifiable DDC specific training and at least two years of experience.
- Required programming experience, with graphical block programming considered a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Visio, and other electrical, technical, or construction programs.
- Understanding of building architecture and computer networks.
