System Control Centre - Co-op Student

About the role#

Elexicon Energy is seeking a Co-op Student to join the System Control Centre (SCC) team in Ajax, Ontario. This role provides support to the Supervisor, SCC, through data analysis, reporting, and administrative assistance. The placement is for a 12 to 16-month term, beginning in Summer or Fall 2026.

What you'll do#

• Query, gather, analyze, and report data to meet regulatory requirements and improve business unit effectiveness.
• Extract, consolidate, and review data to provide insights for feedback.
• Develop reports and presentations to assist the business unit in making short- and long-term decisions.
• Support the Supervisor, SCC, with various administrative duties and service delivery improvements.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a post-secondary Electrical Engineering or Technician program, with a focus on Power Systems or Sustainable Energy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and a commitment to customer service.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and work with minimal supervision.

• Location: Ajax, Ontario.
• Modality: On-site.
• Compensation: $23.56 per hour, plus OMERS Pension Plan eligibility.
• Duration: 12 to 16 months.
