The Innovative Customer Programs intern will work within the Renewable & Emergent Technology department to support the development and implementation of technology-enabled energy initiatives. This role focuses on programs such as electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure, demand response, energy storage, and virtual power plants. You will report to the Manager of Electrification and contribute to strategic planning, business case development, and the evaluation of competitive bids.
What you'll do#
- Conduct benchmarking studies to compare utility programs and support the development of new initiatives.
- Develop marketing strategies and materials to promote EV programs through email campaigns, community events, and presentations.
- Review and approve customer rebate applications in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Generate business leads for the placement of EV charging stations.
- Build and maintain partnerships with local stakeholders, including non-profits, school districts, dealerships, and local government entities.
- Assist with the management of EV charging infrastructure projects and the evaluation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Academic standing as a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate student.
- A minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0.
- A valid driver's license.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in standard office software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and foster effective working relationships with colleagues and the public.
