About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Pharmacy Intern position supporting hospice and post-acute healthcare services. The role involves managing pharmacy operations and patient records while collaborating with a team to ensure high-quality care delivery.
What you'll do#
- Respond to customer inquiries and manage high volumes of inbound calls.
- Accurately manage patient records, including new admissions, demographic updates, and prescription refills.
- Collaborate with team members on pharmacy projects and fulfillment operations.
- Provide service to hospice partners, including assistance with package tracking and service reporting.
- Assist local pharmacies with claims adjudication.
- Complete all required Skill-Based Learnings and maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a school of pharmacy.
- Active registration with the board of pharmacy in the state of residence.
- Previous pharmacy experience.
- Demonstrated passion for improving patient experiences and outcomes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Windows-based systems and Microsoft applications.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
