Welding Co-Op - 3rd Shift

About the role#

This is a paid, full-time Welding Co-Op position for Summer 2026. You will gain hands-on fabrication experience in a shop setting while completing your education. The schedule is 3rd shift, with flexible hours between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM, adjusted to accommodate your school schedule.

What you'll do#

• Follow all safety regulations and use required PPE.
• Pass the 2G FCAW weld certification.
• Interpret blueprints to plan layouts and follow specific weld procedures and measurements.
• Weld small and large components in flat and horizontal positions.
• Operate overhead cranes.
• Maintain welding tools and ensure necessary materials are available for production.

What you'll need#

• High School Diploma or currently in the process of obtaining one.
• 0-1 years of experience in Welding and Fabrication.
• Welding Certificates and advanced blueprint interpretation skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and math skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, or kneel for up to 100% of the shift and lift up to 60 lbs for up to 15% of the shift.
• Current enrollment in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering programs is preferred.
