The Bazaar Program Marketing & Administrative Internship offers hands-on experience in nonprofit operations, focusing on the defense and promotion of Indigenous Peoples' rights, cultures, and lands. This role supports the Bazaar Program, a cultural festival platform that connects global Indigenous artisans with the public. Interns will work closely with program staff to assist with event planning, community outreach, fundraising, and administrative tasks for events held in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. This is a 3-month position requiring 15 hours per week, starting September 21, 2026.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Bazaar Events Manager to organize, label, and maintain program photo archives and internal administrative files.
- Update and manage databases related to contacts, volunteers, vendors, and program records.
- Support the Logistics & Operations Assistant in recruiting and coordinating volunteers through outreach to new and existing partners.
- Help develop and maintain partnerships with universities, businesses, and community organizations.
- Assist in researching and preparing corporate sponsorship proposals and funding materials.
- Support marketing and promotional efforts, including social media content creation, cross-channel campaigns, and the distribution of materials.
- Organize product inventory, photograph items, and create listings for online sales platforms.
- Provide on-site support during events in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
What you'll need#
- Strong organizational and data management skills, with the ability to maintain databases, archives, and records.
- Experience or interest in conducting outreach to volunteers, sponsors, vendors, and community partners.
- Ability to conduct research, perform analysis, and develop proposals for sponsorships and partnerships.
- Strong time management and coordination skills to balance multiple projects across events, marketing, and operations.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is highly preferred; proficiency in other languages is also considered.
- Enrollment in or interest in fields such as Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications.
Location & details#
- This role is a remote and on-site hybrid opportunity.
- Candidates should be located in or near Massachusetts or Rhode Island to facilitate in-person event support.
- Interns will receive a one-time $500 stipend to assist with expenses such as internet, electricity, and office materials.
