NAMS-2 Intern

About the role#

The NAMS-2 Intern will integrate directly into an active NASA project, contributing to initiatives across Air Traffic Management, Advanced Technology Systems, AI, LLM, Quantum Computing, Nanoelectronics, and Advanced Software. This role offers the opportunity to impact technical disciplines including engineering, computer science, and human-computer interaction.

What you'll do#

• Conduct research and analysis on assigned projects within your technical discipline.
• Validate findings and document results with attention to detail.
• Identify emerging industry trends relevant to aerospace and aviation technology.
• Create designs and technical solutions for practical applications.
• Write and develop code for software applications in aviation and air traffic management.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or pursuit of a college degree in engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
• A minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Demonstrated work history showing reliability and commitment, with STEM-related experience preferred but not required.
• Experience or coursework in aerospace, aviation, software development, or advanced technology systems.
• Familiarity with AI, quantum computing, or emerging technologies.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Submission of a one-page essay describing a personal challenge overcome and interest in aerospace innovation and the NASA mission.

• Location: Mountain View, California.
• Modality: On-site.
• Employment: Full-time, paid internship at $730/week (approximately $18.25/hour).
