This entry-level graphic design position offers experience in the full creative process, from initial concept to final delivery. You will work 2–5 hours per week on a project-based schedule, receiving mentorship and professional critique to help refine your design skills and build your portfolio.
What you'll do#
- Design posters and promotional assets for 3–4 Theatre & Dance productions per year.
- Translate project briefs into multiple concepts and refine work based on professional critique.
- Prepare print-ready and digital deliverables, ensuring correct sizes, specifications, and exports.
- Work within the college brand guide when applicable.
- Track progress on assigned tasks and share files using Basecamp.
- Collaborate with the Creative Director and campus partners as needed.
- Manage project deadlines tied to live event schedules and participate in regular check-ins.
What you'll need#
- Current student status, with a focus in studio art or graphic design preferred.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop (training support is available).
- Basic skills in typography, layout, and file preparation for print and web.
- Reliable time management and attention to detail.
- A portfolio or 3–5 samples of design work, including class projects.
