Transportation Intern

About the role#

As a Transportation Intern at CONSOR Engineers, you will support civil engineering projects by assisting with research, design calculations, and project documentation. You will report directly to a project manager and contribute to the delivery of engineering work while gaining hands-on experience in both office and field environments.

What you'll do#

• Assist in the preparation of reports, cost estimates, specifications, design calculations, and construction material quantities.
• Use computer-aided design and engineering software to draft working plans and detailed drawings.
• Analyze and revise maps, charts, exhibits, diagrams, as-built maintenance records, and project layouts.
• Participate in construction support tasks, such as responding to submittals and RFIs.
• Visit project sites as a member of the design team.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program at an ABET accredited university.
• Completion of core civil engineering coursework and current enrollment in upper-level division courses.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 35 lbs.
• Willingness to work in various environments, including potential exposure to inclement weather or construction site conditions.
