This part-time, year-round internship provides training in public administration and the operations of City departments. Interns support the Airports Department by performing research, administrative tasks, and technical assignments. This role is designed for students or recent graduates to gain practical experience while working on special projects.
What you'll do#
- Provide research and administrative support to the assigned City department.
- Perform a variety of project-related and department-specific assignments.
- Assist with financial tasks to support City operations.
- Work up to a maximum of 29 hours per week.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a junior or senior undergraduate student, or a master's program student, in aviation management, aviation technology, or a closely related field.
- Recent graduates (within the last two years) with a degree in aviation management, aviation technology, public administration, business, or a closely related field are also eligible.
- Submission of academic transcripts is required at the time of application.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
- Preferred qualifications include familiarity with airport planning, operations, management, flight regulations, and Federal Aviation Regulations (14CFR Parts 77, 91, and 139).
Location & details#
- Location: Oklahoma City, OK.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Pay Range: $17.50 – $22.50 per hour.
- Note: Assignments within the Airports Department require a successful TSA background check, including fingerprinting.
